Occasionally a contact lens infection can lead to a BIG ulcer of the cornea. This can result in a lot of morbidity if not treated carefully by a cornea specialist. Thank God after a few months of treatment, we were able to remove this ulcer by a corneal transplant and with the most delicate of care restore the vision in this young healthy patient.
