Macular Degeneration
What is Macular Degeneration?
Age related Macular Degeneration (AMD) comes in many forms and is the leading cause of vision loss and blindness in the elderly 65 and older population. Recently advances in research have given eye specialists the ability to slow progression and even prevent some of the devastating sequelae of AMD. Anyone with a family history or approaching their 60s should be screened. If you would like more information about age-related macular degeneration, or would like to schedule an eye examination, please contact ESSNV today.
