SMS Terms and Conditions

SMS Text Messaging

Eye Specialists and Surgeons of Northern Virginia (“ESSNV”) collects your mobile phone number, SMS consent selection, and consent documentation when you enroll in our text messaging program. We use this information to document and manage your messaging preferences and send non-promotional appointment and account communications, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and account notifications.

Mobile information, including mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share this information with service providers solely as necessary to operate and support ESSNV’s messaging program. These providers may not use it for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is specific to ESSNV and is not transferred to other practices or organizations.

SMS consent is optional and is not required to receive care or services. Providing a phone number alone does not enroll you in text messaging. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. You may also contact us at https://eyespecialistsnova.com/contact-us/.

New Page: ESSNV SMS Messaging Terms and Conditions

Effective date: November 4th, 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to the SMS messaging program operated by Eye Specialists & Surgeons of Northern Virginia (“ESSNV”).

Program Description

Patients who opt in may receive recurring, non-promotional text messages from ESSNV about their appointments and accounts, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, and account-related notifications. This program does not include marketing or promotional messages.

Consent and Enrollment

You may enroll by providing your mobile number and affirmatively selecting the separate SMS consent checkbox on ESSNV’s Patient Information form. The checkbox is initially unchecked. Providing a phone number alone, using our website, or accepting these terms does not enroll you in SMS messaging.

SMS consent is optional and is not required to register, schedule or attend appointments, receive treatment or services, or complete any transaction. Consent applies only to ESSNV’s messaging program and is not transferred to other practices or organizations.

Message Frequency and Rates

Message frequency varies based on your appointments and account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider for information about your messaging and data plan.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from ESSNV’s SMS messaging program. You may receive a final text confirming your unsubscribe request. After that confirmation, no further messages will be sent through this program unless you opt in again. Opting out does not affect your access to care or services.

Help and Customer Support

Reply HELP to any message for assistance. You may also call ESSNV at 571-349-2191 or visit https://eyespecialistsnova.com/contact-us/.

Privacy

Our collection and use of information for this program is described in our Privacy Policy.

Mobile information, including mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers solely as necessary to operate and support ESSNV’s messaging program.

Message Delivery

Message delivery is subject to wireless network availability and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes to Your Phone Number

If your mobile number changes or you stop using it, please contact ESSNV so we can update your messaging preferences.
