Hubert H. Pham M.D, M.S.
Hubert H. Pham, MD, MS is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a focus on comprehensive ophthalmology, advanced cataract, and medical retina. His areas of expertise include macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, cataracts, and glaucoma.
Dr. Pham’s unique upbringing, as the son of Vietnamese immigrants who lived in Mexico and Zimbabwe, was formative to his desire to pursue a career in medicine. His mission has always been to alleviate suffering locally and internationally, having experienced it so profoundly in his youth.
He attended Cornell University, where he graduated with honors in Biomedical and Environmental Engineering. He went on to pursue his Master of Science in Physiology at Georgetown University. He received his medical doctorate from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he graduated cum laude. During medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and won numerous awards.
Following medical school, he completed his internship at INOVA Fairfax, where he was awarded the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in Internal Medicine. He continued his ophthalmology training at the Georgetown University Hospital / Washington Hospital Center, where he served as Chief Resident of Education. During that time, he published numerous abstracts and papers, and presented his research nationally and internationally.
After training, he joined one of the largest ophthalmology groups in Seattle, where he led a successful practice and won ‘Top Doctor’ award multiple years in a row. He then continued his career at Kaiser Permanente, where he learned to practice medical retina and treat the spectrum of macular diseases.
