Geulah S. Ben-David M.D.

Geulah S. Ben-David, MD is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in advanced glaucoma management and cataract surgery. She is dedicated to preserving vision through personalized, evidence-based care and believes in partnering with patients to develop treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.

Dr. Ben-David completed her ophthalmology residency at Emek Medical Center in Israel before serving as faculty at Houston Methodist’s Blanton Eye Institute. She then completed advanced fellowship training in glaucoma at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex glaucoma, including laser procedures, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), traditional glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ben-David has remained actively involved in clinical research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications. Her work has been published in leading ophthalmic journals and presented at national and international scientific meetings, and maintains active professional memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.

In addition to her clinical and research interests, Dr. Ben-David is passionate about education and has mentored medical students, taught ophthalmology trainees, and participated in global health mission to Guatemala and volunteer initiatives providing eye care to underserved communities. Originally from Sharon, Mass., she also conducted glaucoma imaging research at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. These experiences that helped shape her commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ben-David enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, exploring new restaurants, and staying active outdoors.
