Lina Mojarrad O.D.
Dr. Lina Mojarrad was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from George Mason University, and went on to earn her Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston.
Following graduation, Dr. Mojarrad completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Eye Care at the Boston Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience managing a wide spectrum of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration.
Dr. Mojarrad ultimately returned home to Northern Virginia with the goal of building lasting relationships with patients in the community. She is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality eye care, with a strong emphasis on patient education, clear communication, and preventive eye health using the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment.
In addition to comprehensive eye care, Dr. Mojarrad works closely with Dr. Dunbar and the oculoplastic surgery team to provide coordinated pre‑operative and post‑operative care for patients requiring oculoplastic evaluation and surgery. This collaborative approach ensures seamless communication, continuity of care, and optimal outcomes.
Her oculoplastic co‑management services include care for patients undergoing evaluation or surgery for ptosis, blepharoplasty (functional and cosmetic), ectropion and entropion, eyelid lesions, eyelid twitching, and chalazion management, including conservative treatment and post‑procedural follow‑up.
Dr. Mojarrad’s clinical interests include emergency eye care, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, contact lenses, dry eye syndrome, myopia control, and co‑management of cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Mojarrad enjoys cooking, photography, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
